Built an end-to-end pipeline to forecast incoming headcount for Block's Finance and Strategy department. Achieved greater than 85% accuracy, enabling the team to plan resourcing ahead of quarterly cycles without relying on vendor tooling.

Fine-tuned a large language model to analyze tens of thousands of open-ended employee survey comments. Reduced the time from data collection to actionable insights by approximately 80%, making this kind of qualitative analysis feasible at organizational scale.

Ordered Piecewise Additive Learner (OPAL)

A hybrid regression algorithm that combines the interpretability of piecewise linear functions with the flexibility of regression trees. The goal is to improve prediction accuracy on structured, ordered data while maintaining a model that practitioners can actually explain.

Research on identifying and preventing careless and deceptive responding in organizational surveys, co-authored with Winfred Arthur Jr. and Erin Hagen. Published in the Annual Review of Organizational Psychology and Organizational Behavior. This is the most-cited work I've contributed to — 139 citations as of May 2026.
